Why Choose Original Not Reproduction?

Here at Radiant Restoration, we believe an original is the best way to invest your money. Some of our radiators date back to 1880 and are extremely rare and hard to find. 

Some later models of radiator such as the original Princess, Duchess (style) or Column hold and even increase their value with age.

Although there is nothing wrong with a reproduction or copy cast iron radiator, the value of a copy may well not be maintained.

Prices between an original and a copy may not massively different; in some cases, an original may even be cheaper.

Reproduction radiators; although cast iron, can be much thinner and do not retain heat as long as their original counterparts.

Even though original cast iron radiators were assembled a long time ago, historically the iron used was a much higher quality, castings were denser and they were made to last.

The density of the iron helps maintain the heat in the radiator, allowing the radiators to stay hot for up to two hours after the heating system has turned off, therefore heating your home for longer without incurring further costs.
